Thank you to all those that responded to the questionnaire and the results are below. On the basis of the responses we plan to have Saturday Morning Coffee every fortnight from October to March starting on 5th October. We will be in contact with those who offered to assist with supervising so we can put a schedule together.

Community Skip – Friday 6th September
The skip will be available from Friday 6th September (not 6th August as in the last post)
Sorry, incompetent Admin still living in the past (again)
Community Skip
There will be a skip at the re-cycling point from Friday 6th August for use by Struan residents. Please do not leave anything outside the skip and do not fill it above the level of the sides as it will not be taken away. Also please note that there are many items that are not allowed in the skip (see note below). If any of these are found in the skip the community will be charged a substantial fee based on the weight of the whole skip. If this happens there will be no further Community Skips (which would be a shame).
Craft Night – Thursday 5th September 2024
The next craft night will be on Thursday 5th September, 7 – 9pm at Struan School, all are welcome.
Coffee Morning questionnaire
If you want to fill in the questionnaire sent out yesterday, you will need to do so via the web site and not by filling out the form on the email you received. Alternatively you can go straight to the questionnaire by following the link below:
Saturday Coffee Mornings
As a trial, we ran fortnightly Saturday coffee mornings at the school from March to June. Attendance was variable and became less and less as the summer (if you dare call it that) progressed. We are only too happy to restart them again if the community would like them so please complete the questionnaire below so we can best decide how to proceed. Thank you.

Bracadale Blitz – Beach Clean
Subject to suitable weather conditions, the Scottish Coastal Clean Up project will be here next weekend with their beach cleaning boat to blitz the loch and try to remove as much marine litter as possible from the more inaccessible parts of the loch, from Roag to Satran!
There will be an organised clean at Ardtreck on Saturday (See SCCU poster below) but on Friday and in parallel with this, the beach cleaning boat will hopefully be available to pick up and remove litter from other parts of the coastline (and potentially the islands) so if anyone else wants to get involved on either of the days, or knows of areas that need cleaning/litter removing and wants to let us know where they are, please contact either Kerrie at the SCCU (kerrie@caledonianenvironmental.co.uk) or Skye Beach Cleans (skye.beachcleans@gmail.com).
